Obutto R3Volution Acrylic Tabletops Accessory

These are a great addition to a wonderful cockpit/workstation. So far the seem to act just like my old desk space and accumulate junk. Seriously though, after buying these I can't imagine the setup without them. My only gripe was that the countersunk holes on one of my acrylic tops were too deep and the screws didn't mount flush. They sit down inside, this made absolutely no impact on the functionality just made for an almost unnoticeable cosmetic flaw. If you are considering buying these with your Obutto, DO IT, they are great and worth the money.

I was a little hesitant about spending the extra money on these, not that they are very expensive but, did I really need them? Were they sturdy? Well, let me tell you, I'm glad I got them and I'd do it again. Instead of one, stationary desktop, I get two. Because of the fully articulating arms, I can place each in pretty much any position I want. Each arm can swing out of the way or can be right in front of you. You cannot raise or lower them, but because of the ability to tilt them towards you, I don't find the need to anyway. These are steady enough to mount another monitor on if you so desire. I use one for a second keyboard/mouse tray (I work on two lap tops at the same time) and the other to jot notes, hold my pen, or a bowl of tasty popcorn. I recommend everything about the Obutto line of products!

I'm using the Table Tops on a rig with three 24" monitors mounted using the Triple Monitor Stand. The left table top is located height-wise between the lower keyboard top and the left/center monitors. There is 3-4" between keyboard and table top, and 4-5" between table top and monitors. This works out okay for me because I just put small things on the table top. The right table top has the same 4-5" between the table and the monitors. On the right side, the shifter forces 1/2 to 2/3 of the table top to be behind the monitors. Not a problem for me but something to be aware of. It might be possible to position the right table top in front of the shifter which would be alongside the seat. Haven't tried that. The eight M4 nuts for the VESA plate mount were missing. Not a big deal in my book as Home Depot had them. Overall, I'm glad I bought the table tops.

Very useful I love em

Love the table top kit. It looks awesome and functions great. I have a pretty heavy 19in monitor (older style LCD) on one arm with out problem. The other arm I have the table top of. I use the table top to hold papers and my microphone as well as holding my XBox controller and microphone. One thing I think could improve this especially for the price is the addition of a little peice of metal or better pleix glass that acts as a block to stop things from falling off when you tilt them vertically. There is a plate you can add to help with this but it only has two small lips that come out which happen to be the perfect size for my phone but I could utilize this better if something went across the while bottom. I'm thinking about just cutting a small piece of wood and painting it black to act as a stop.

You can place a keyboard, game pad, or just about anything else that will stay in place with the two tabs at the bottom edge of the tabletop, and you are in business. These are super stable, and you can even remove the tabletop and mount a monitor or other display device that has VESA mounting capabilities. It takes 10 minutes to assemble and install these, and they are worth every penny!
